Do It Yourself

Cute DIY Curtain ties

June 11, 2018 — by Shruti Agarwal

As much as we love curtains that transform a room completely, we also adore the cute little things attached to them. At least I do! And with these little things, I mean the designer rods, side stoppers and the wonderful Curtain Ties that give an impressive look to the drapery.

I have recently moved to a new place and so I bought new curtains for all the rooms. When it came to these ties, I thought of experimenting some simple DIYs that were beautiful and affordable.

Let us check out some of these.

Collect some fabric pieces or brooches from your old clothes and see how nicely they will tie the curtain by attaching a ribbon knot or Velcro.

For an industrial-contemporary look, get your hands on a metal chain. Spray some bronze or gold paint to make it look new and appealing.

Easily available and exceptionally economical, a rope can prove to be a fabulous option. Twist and turn, make designs out of it the way you like and there you have a curtain tie ready within minutes.

Incredibly beautiful and elegant, I am sure each one of us own some imitation jewels that we no longer use. Put them to a better use by tying your curtains with those beaded chains. The room will instantly speak glamour.

you can also tie your old jewellery on the curtains, giving it a lavish look

It is all about using the stuff you already have. Pick out a waist belt in a contrasting colour to the curtain and tie it around the curtain just like you do around your waist.

Thoughtful and unique, who thought a cup can be used this way. Just hollow the bottom of cup and insert through the curtain.

A treat for your kid’s room; A simple toy having a Velcro hold can look utter cute and child-like, making it just perfect to complete the look.

tie your kids old toy on the curtain and give a fresh look to the room

When you do not want to go for an actual curtain tie, drill and fix a magnificent-looking holder onto the wall and let the curtain rest on it.
