October 10, 2018 — by Navneet Malhotra

Hello decor devotees,

Changing season, altering trends, varying moods, different colour choices and you just can’t decide which rug to buy for your entryway or boudoir, whether they should be light or dark?  The rug should be square or rectangle? If you are confused, then read ahead and pick an abstract perfection for an unforgettable decorating idea. Mixing and matching finishes, shapes and colours is one of my favourite things to suggest for any decor element. Pick the ones with a twist!

What more interesting, could you place at your entryway? It’s time to see off the rectangular ones, the multi-coloured circular rugs that showcase a raw-peppy edge with each of its circles.

That lovely rose – Shaped maroon-reddish rug with well-defined lines depicting fully bloomed petal, makes this velvety accessory on the parquet, such a visual treat.

Interweaved and entwined to form a continuous sophisticated pattern with each fabric rope, flaunting a different shade of blue. Also, the different patterns on this star shaped rug look beautiful.

Next to your couch – Lies the remote control of your PSP, the gaming zone gets a little more glam with a remote replica rug. This not only introduces vibrant color to the space but you can sit on it to carry on with all your entertainment.

It’s not wood – but textured like wooden cylindrical pipes put together. In fact this is a textured-rubber bathroom mat with antiskid features. Also the arched circular shape of each cylindrical pattern doesn’t let any water rest on the surface of rug, making it a no-slip zone!

Crochet – This elephant head with a pink bow weaved crochet rug is just the perfect rug for your little princess room. It is such a pretty add-on to the floor and flaunts a beautiful pattern in white.

A well-knitted rug – Characterized by patchwork and intricate embroidery looks beautiful in white. It is both subtle and elaborate at the same time.

A multicoloured rag – That showcases a refined weft and warp pattern, bring ample grace and a vibrant appeal to any neutral space.

Joyful sun in the house – Woven with different coloured wool brings forward a fine mix of white, pink, black and yellow. Look at those baby pink wool pom poms and those tied yellow strings at the edge of this circular rug, forming the sun rays.

Sure, these rugs are a little different and it’s a bold choice. But the right pick can make for a stunning décor that your guests will keep applauding.
